Transformational EMDR Ages 13–65 Telehealth (FL) • Jacksonville Beach
Trauma-informed therapy for real, lasting change.

Transformational EMDR for adolescents and adults (ages 13–65), offered in person in Jacksonville Beach and via telehealth throughout Florida. My work is structured, grounded, and intentional—built around EMDR, skill-based approaches, and modern nervous system regulation tools. Therapy is focused on practical, sustainable change: sleeping more deeply, thinking more clearly, and feeling steadier in everyday life.

What EMDR can help with
Past experiences, present-day triggers, and future situations.

EMDR can address distress linked to past experiences, present-day triggers, and future situations. It’s commonly used when reactions feel automatic, out of proportion, or difficult to control.

EMDR may be helpful for:

  • Trauma and PTSD (single-incident and complex)
  • Anxiety, panic, and chronic stress
  • Phobias and specific fears (flying, driving, medical procedures, etc.)
  • Emotional and body-based triggers
  • Depression tied to trauma or loss
  • Negative self-beliefs (shame, guilt, “I’m not safe / enough”)
  • Relationship and attachment patterns
  • Addiction and trauma-driven compulsive behaviors
  • Performance blocks and avoidance patterns
  • Sleep disruption and nervous system dysregulation
  • Preparing for future stressors or triggering situations

EMDR works across past, present, and future—helping the nervous system respond with more flexibility, clarity, and regulation over time.

Therapy & Regulation Tools

A focused menu. EMDR is the primary approach, with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) available when a structured, skills-based model is the best fit—particularly for adolescents. Neurofeedback and Vibroacoustic Therapy are used as regulation tools when additional nervous system support is helpful.

EMDR

Primary Approach

EMDR reduces the impact of distressing experiences by reprocessing memories and body-based triggers that continue to influence present-day reactions.

EMDR may help with:

  • Trauma and PTSD (single-incident and complex)
  • Anxiety, panic, and chronic stress responses
  • Intrusive memories and emotional flashbacks
  • Phobias and conditioned fear responses
  • Performance blocks and avoidance patterns
  • Negative self-beliefs linked to past experiences
  • Future-oriented stress and trigger anticipation

TF-CBT

Trauma-Focused

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a structured, evidence-based model designed to support adolescents and families impacted by trauma.

TF-CBT focuses on:

  • Emotional regulation and coping skill development
  • Trauma processing at a developmentally appropriate pace
  • Psychoeducation for teens and caregivers
  • Improving communication within the family system
  • Reducing trauma-related anxiety and avoidance
  • Strengthening safety, stability, and resilience

Best for: adolescent trauma recovery, family involvement, stabilization, and coping skills

Neurofeedback

Regulation Support

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive method that supports nervous system regulation by training the brain toward more stable and flexible patterns of activity.

Neurofeedback may support:

  • Emotional regulation and stress tolerance
  • Reduction in hyperarousal and reactivity
  • Improved focus, attention, and mental clarity
  • Sleep quality and circadian stability
  • Recovery from chronic stress or trauma-related dysregulation
  • Nervous system flexibility over time

Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) – Sound Lounge

Regulation Support

Vibroacoustic Therapy uses low-frequency sound and vibration delivered through a Sound Lounge to support nervous system regulation and relaxation.

Vibroacoustic Therapy may help with:

  • Calming physiological arousal
  • Supporting deep relaxation and rest
  • Reducing muscle tension and stress
  • Improving sleep readiness
  • Supporting emotional integration between sessions
  • Enhancing body awareness and grounding
About
About Michael Ansley, LCSW
EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma-informed therapy for adolescents and adults. My work is grounded in EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, and is supported by specialty tools such as neurofeedback and Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) when clinically appropriate. The focus of treatment is helping clients regain emotional stability, clarity, and forward movement after difficult or overwhelming experiences.

I take a structured, steady approach to therapy. Sessions are practical and collaborative, integrating trauma processing, skill-building, and nervous system regulation strategies. Tools such as neurofeedback and the Sound Lounge (Vibroacoustic Therapy) may be used to support regulation, improve sleep, and strengthen the nervous system’s capacity to recover and adapt. The goal is meaningful change that carries into daily life—clearer thinking, improved rest, and a more consistent emotional baseline.

I work with clients in person in Jacksonville Beach and via telehealth throughout Florida. My style is calm, direct, and structured, with an emphasis on thoughtful pacing, clinical clarity, and measurable progress over time.
